Water abounds in most of Portuguese territory.
Almost each village had its fountain.
This fountains were formed by one or more waterpipes where water-pots were filled up for domestic supply and by a tank where cattle drank.
Fountains were also places where people met and talked to each other, and, especially, meeting places for girlfriends and boyfriends.
